Kerala bans PricewaterhouseCoopers from state IT projects

PricewaterhouseCoopers - the consultancy firm has been banned by the Kerala government from various projects for appointing unqualified persons and lapses in contract conditions. The ban was imposed citing the appointment of an unqualified person and severe lapses in following the contract conditions.

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has banned PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the consultancy in various government projects. The multinational professional services firm has been banned from all State IT projects for two years.

Also, the existing contract with the company in K-FON will not be extended. An order in this regard was issued on Friday. Meanwhile, other contracts will continue. The ban was imposed citing the appointment of an unqualified person and severe lapses in following the contract conditions.

The appointment of Swapna Suresh at Space Park became controversial, as she was appointed without adequate qualifications. She was appointed as Project consultant at Space Park by PwC.
