Kerala Government not to ease seven day quarantine

Lifting quarantine rules may lead to a spike in COVID-19 cases, according to the Health Department. Those arriving from other states to vote for local body polls would also have to undergo quarantine for seven days.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala government has not eased COVID-19 regulations.

The state government has decided not to lift quarantine for those who arrive from other states to vote for local body polls.

According to the Health Department, lifting the quarantine may increase the spread of Covid.

As per the Government of Kerala's domestic guideline, all passengers travelling from abroad and other states are required to undergo institutional or home quarantine for seven days.

One may end quarantine only if the antigen test result is negative. If not, they will have to be in quarantine at least for 14 days.
