Thiruvananthapuram: Hours after giving a call to the people of Kerala to seriously start engaging in some sort of farming/agriculture activities, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan led from the front and did his bit.

He gave this call to make sure that in case things take a turn for the worse on account of COVID-19, one should have at least food in the kitty.

Vijayan planted tapioca (often referred to as the staple food of yesteryear's Keralites) and a hybrid variety of beans at his official residence Cliff House here.
