New Delhi:Senior party leader K Surendran today began his innings as BJP Kerala unit president. Surendran took over as state chief after the post fell vacant following the incumbent Sreedharan Pillai being appointed as Mizoram Governor.

The move came amid a poor run of form which culminated in a debacle in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. BJP failed to open its account in the state.
