Hyderabad:With health workers across the globe waging a heroic battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, studies have shown that Kerala-based nurses are playing an invaluable role in countering the pandemic.
A World Health Organization (WHO) report indicates that majority of nurses working worldwide are from India, and the state of Kerala tops the list. Of the healthcare personnel who have graduated from the state of Kerala, around 30 per cent of nurses work in the United States, 15 per cent in Britain and Australia, and around 12 per cent in the Middle East.
Anna Soubry, a former member of the British Parliament, praised the services provided by Kerala nurses in their country's health care system, which reinforced the great service that these nurses have been providing in the Great Britain. A video of her speech has been going viral on social media.
