Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala): Kerala Government has decided to implement a virtual queue system in Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple. The temple will be open for darshan from June 15th, ensuring compliance with the COVID prevention guidelines.
The virtual queue system is to regulate the number of visitors at the temple in a COVID situation, like in Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple.
At Guruvayur, an entry into the temple complex will be allowed only for those who register online. The dharshan timings have been fixed from 9.30 in the morning till 1.30 pm. A maximum of 600 persons would be allowed to enter the Temple on one day. In one hour, a maximum of 150 persons would be let in for dharshan, in a regulated manner. Each group let in at a time will have not more than 50 persons.
"Devotees must cooperate and comply with all the COVID regulations and guidelines," said Kadakampally Surendran, Devaswom Minister, Kerala.
