The audio recording states that the death of the patient at Kalamassery Medical College in Ernakulam - who had to be transferred from intensive care to another ward - died due to negligence at the hospital.

Ernakulam: A voice message from a nursing officer in Kerala has revealed that a covid patient died due to the negligence of the medical staff.

The seven-minute audio reveals the shocking information.

The audio recording states that the death of the patient at Kalamassery Medical College in Ernakulam - who had to be transferred from intensive care to another ward - died due to negligence at the hospital.

The message said the ventilator tube had been replaced and this had led to the death of the patient.

The message says that the staff attending to the patient escaped because the doctors did not report the incident. The secret message was sent to the staff before the central team visited the hospital.

Health Minister KK Shailaja has ordered a probe. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has accused the government of being negligent in treating covid patients in the state and have failed to provide safe Covid treatment in the state.
