Malappuram:In a heartwarming gesture, two brothers Shahan Bin Shihab and Shahid Saman, residents of Kerala's Malappuram donated their pocket money towards the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Expressing their empathy for the society during these tough times they contributed the money they got to buy bicycles towards the Relief Fund.

Shihabuddin (father) who works in Qatar as a driver had promised to send his children the money needed to buy bicycles from his first salary. He kept his word and sent them an amount of Rs 8000.

Though the boys got the money to buy bicycles, they had made up their minds not to spend on bicycles at a time when the whole world is suffering because of the deadly coronavirus disease.

They told their mother about their willingness to donate the amount towards the CMDRF. She supported the idea and arranged for making the contribution. The money was then handed over to K T Jaleel, Minister for Local Administration, Kerala, as the children’s donation to CMDRF.
