BJP to lodge complaint against Ramesh Chennithala for leaking voters data to 'foreign' website

Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi said leaking voter list data to foreign agencies is against national interest, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will lodge a complaint to the Election Commission regarding the matter.

Thiruvananthapuram:Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi said he will lodge a complaint against Kerala opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala for 'leaking' the personal data of voters to a foreign-based company.

Joshi said leaking voter list data to foreign agencies is against national interest, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will lodge a complaint to the Election Commission regarding the matter.

Joshi also raised concern over the irregularities in the postal voting system.

"The Election Commission did not share the information regarding postal vote except to CPM. The EC should be transparent on their procedures," said Joshi.

Joshi also challenged Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to respond to the allegations.
