ETV Bharat reporter attacked in Kerala

Jayamohan Thampi, an ETV Bharat reporter who hails from Ramankulangara in Kollam district was attacked by a three-member gang while he was returning home after work.

Kollam (Kerala):An ETV Bharat reporter in Kerala was attacked by three helmet borne men with swords on Tuesday evening after he reported an incident of an attack on a fisherman.

Jayamohan Thampi, an ETV Bharat reporter who hails from Ramankulangara in Kollam district was attacked by a three-member gang while he was returning home after work.

The right arm of Thampi was severely wounded and he is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kollam.

The attack on Thampi comes after he had reported an attack on fisherman by a businessman on July 18. The fisherman also corroborated Thampi's statement.

Meanwhile, the police have started the investigation after Thampi's statement.
