Kozhikode (Kerala): A 19-year-old girl, Roshna (റോഷ്ന), from Kerala's Kozhikode, has entered the Guinness Book of World Record (ഗിന്നസ് ബുക്ക് ഓഫ് വേൾഡ് റെക്കോർഡ്) by sketching cartoons on a 400-metre-long canvas, the longest in the world. Roshna, an expert in live caricature and daughter of a well-known cartoonist M Dileef, has become the first Indian to achieve this feat.
In 2015, she tried to set the Guinness World Record for the world's largest election poster. "I tried for a Guinness World Record in 2015 but failed. But now, I have the Guinness World Record for the longest cartoon in the world (404 metres). I got the confirmation from the authorities 2-3 days back. I am extremely delighted with this achievement. It took me about 20 days to draw the cartoon. The main goal was to create a child who would visit the Global Village for 15 days," Roshna said.
