16-year-old boy hacked to death by classmates in Kerala

A class X student was hacked to death by his classmates in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, on Tuesday. It is reported that a difference of opinion between the students led to the murder. However, police are yet to reveal the exact motive behind the murder.

Pathanamthitta (Kerala):A 16-year-old boy was hacked to death by his classmates in Kerala on Tuesday, police said.

The victim was identified as Nikhil, a native of Angadical village in Pathanamthitta district and was a class X student.

The crime took place near the school and two of his classmates have been taken into custody, police informed.

It is reported that a difference of opinion between the students led to the murder. However, police are yet to reveal the exact motive behind the murder.

The classmates were nabbed by local people when the two were trying to bury the body.

The residents informed the police who arrived at the spot and took the two into custody.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, police said.
