Young artist's collage artwork selected for the 'India Book of-Records'

An artwork created by young artist Kaushik Krishna Hegde of Uttara Kannada district has been selected for the India Book-of-records.

Sirasi (Karnataka): A collage artwork created by young artist Kaushik Krishna Hegde from Uttara Kannada district has been selected for entry in India Book of Records.

In his artwork, Kaushik collaged small portraits of famous actors in the film industry to create a larger portrait of Kannada actor Nata Sarvabhouma Rajkumar.

Each of the smaller portraits was finished under three minutes. However, compiling the smaller pictures to make the Dr. Rajkumar portrait took him eight hours.

He applied for the entry in August. On September 19, his artwork was selected for entry. Kaushik's achievement is expected to be printed in India Book A-Records in January 2021.

Kaushik Hegde is a resident of Sirsi taluk Gadihalli. He has completed the IBVA course. For the past eight years, he has been engaged in different forms of painting.

He is good at Landscape, Abstract Painting, Watercolor and oil paint, colour pencils, pencil shading and drawing. Hegde is also is very interested in portrait painting. Kaushik has the ambition of teaching painting to the rural people also, and for this, he is also getting support from his parents.
