Toy grenade creates tension in Mysuru

Unknown bike-borne miscreants threw a toy grenade in an abandoned place of Mysuru. Police along with bomb-disposing team and sniffer dogs searched the area. A hunt is underway to nab the bikers.

Mysuru:Mild tensions prevailed as passers-by near Hinkal ring road found an abandoned 'toy grenade' in Mysuru on Thursday.

According to police, a couple of bike-borne men reportedly played a prank by pulling out the toy grenade's clip and fled from the spot.

Pedestrians, who were present at the spot, confirmed the same and claimed that they too ran from the venue fearing an explosion.

The police officials, who reached the spot along with the bomb disposal squad, declared the entire episode to be a 'prank' after discovering the toy grenade.

They further cleared the area and urged the people to be alert.

A hunt is on to nab the unknown bikers.
