Ramanagara (Karnataka):Three underground drainage workers were found dead inside a manhole near the new Netaji Popular School in Ramanagara city in Karnataka.
Drainage workers die after falling into manhole Two workers named Manjunath and the third identified as Rajesh belong to Kamalanagar in Bangalore. They were hired on contract for the underground drainage or UGD work, the report said.
This incident took place when they fell into a manhole while working at a construction site and died of suffocation.
The workers were rushed to Ramanagar district hospital where doctors declared them dead.
The contractor has been blamed for not providing the workers with safety gear.
A police investigation is underway into the incident.
