Three accused test corona positive: Bengaluru's Jeevan Bheema Nagar police station shifted

A police station in Bengaluru has been shifted to another place and 24 cops had to undergo quarantine after three accused tested positive for coronavirus.

Bengaluru (Karnataka):The Police station here in Jeevan Bheema Nagar was displaced from the area while 24 cops had to undergo quarantine after three accused, held in the station tested positive for coronavirus.

All three accused from the Murugesh Palya area were arrested in the case of sexual assault and later sent to medical examination. The result found them to be corona positive and the police immediately admitted them to a hospital for treatment.

While arresting the accused and questioning them in the police station, cops had come in contact with them. In order to avoid the spread of Corona, all 24 policemen have went into quarantine and the station was immediately shifted to another place in the city, the police department informed.
