Six firefighters fall sick after Chlorine gas leak

Six firefighters fell sick when they attempted to contain a chlorine gas leak at a drinking water supply unit at T.Narasipura.

Mysuru (Karnataka): Six firefighters fell sick when they attempted to contain a chlorine gas leak at a drinking water supply unit at T.Narasipura. The gas leak happened on Tuesday night and the local fire station was alerted.

Six firefighters rushed to the spot but they fainted 50 meters away from the spot. The firefighters Darshan, Pradeep, Kishore, Nagaraj, Yogesh and Nijaguna fell sick and were taken to the government hospital at T.Narasipura. MLA Ashwin Kumar rushed to the hospital after hearing the matter and he enquired about their health from the doctors.

The area of Triveninagar was sealed in the wake of chlorine leakage from a water supply unit. Locals were instructed not to come out from their homes.
