ISRO achieved a major milestone in space science on Wednesday as it was able to successfully soft-land on the south pole of the Moon on Wednesday, an accomplishment no other country has managed so far.
"History has been made by Vikram Lander stepping into the Moon's courtyard. The success of Chandrayaan-3 is a moment of pride for all of us. I also watched Vikram rover landing. Very happy and also proud. This is a great achievement, scientists have been working hard for many years," the Chief Minister said.
"Chandrayaan-3 success is the result of the efforts of approximately 500 scientists. It has covered a distance of 3,84,000 km and has done a great job. Personally, I am very happy. The achievement of Chandrayaan-3 was historic and the entire world looked towards India. Only Russia, America and China had reached the moon. Now India has successfully reached the South Pole of the Moon. We all should be happy with this achievement," he added.
