Kolar (Karnataka): With the coronavirus-induced lockdown affecting migrants across the country, one such family, which had come to Kolar from Chennai, is now struggling for survival with their son missing.
With her brother missing, young Fatima has now taken over the responsibility of pushing her mother around in a wheelchair. Her mother had unfortunately lost her leg during some work and is now confined to a wheelchair.
The family had come to Bangarapete taluk of Kolar district from Chennai around three months back in search of work. However, when the lockdown was imposed, the family was left stranded with no source of income.
Fatima's brother then started taking up odd jobs and even had to resort to begging in order to feed his family.
However, things went from bad to worse for the family as Fatima's brother went missing around a month back. Young Fatima then scoured the entire town of Bangarapete but to no avail, as her brother was nowhere to be found.
