Karnataka roadshow: Modi pays tributes to 'founder of Bengaluru'

On the last day of campaigning in Karnataka Elections 2023, PM Modi started electioneering in Bengaluru Central, Shivamogga and Nanjangud. The PM will also visit Nanjangudu Temple and have darshan of God Ganapati, Subrahmanya, Adi Narayana and Parvati there.

Karnataka roadshow: Modi pays tributes to 'founder of Bengaluru'

Bengaluru (Karnataka): Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his mega 8 km road show in Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituency on the last day of the election campaign in Karnataka on Sunday. Showers of flowers greeted Modi all along the route as BJP sympathisers lining up the roads kept cheering and waving to the Prime Minister. To avoid traffic congestion on the nearby roads, the traffic police imposed diversions.

The roadshow started from the Kempegowda statue at New Thippasandra Road, Bengaluru. The PM paid floral homage at the statue of Kempegowda, who is credited with the founding of Bengaluru city. MG Road via HAL Second Phase 80ft Road Junction, 12th Main Road Junction, 100ft Junction, Indira Nagar, Subramaniaswamy Temple and Trinity Circle figured in Modi's road show. On Saturday, the Prime Minister conducted a 26 km road show in the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency.

After the Bengaluru Road Show, Prime Minister Modi will go to Shivamogga District. He will participate in the BJP campaign meeting on the premises next to the Government Pre-Graduation College in Ayanuru, Shivamogga taluk. Shivamogga district BJP president T D Megharaj said that the convention will be held on about 100 acres of land. The program will be held till 2.30 pm. Prime Minister Modi will address the meeting for 50 minutes.

In today's programs, Prime Minister Modi will campaign on behalf of candidates from 7 constituencies in Shivamogga district, 2 constituencies in Davanagere, and one constituency in Chikkamagaluru. Voters from 10 constituencies are participating in the meeting. About three lakh people including 30 thousand people from each constituency are expected to the PM meeting. Arrangements have been made to park vehicles outside Ayanuru.

Later, Modi will hold an open campaign rally in Elachegere Bore village of Nanjangudu taluk in the Mysore district. Over 1 lakh people will participate in this program. MLA S A Ramdas, who is in charge of the program, said that more than 3,000 two-wheeler riders will take part in the rally before the program. PM Narendra Modi will arrive on the stage at 4.35 pm and participate in the program from 5.25 pm.

Visit to Srikantheshwara Swamy Temple

After the end of the rally, the PM will leave at 5.30 pm and arrive at Nanjangudu Temple by 6.45 pm and have darshan of God Ganapati, Subrahmanya, Adi Narayana and Parvati. Abhishekam and special pooja will be offered to God Srikantheshwar. After that, PM Modi will return to New Delhi.
