Video: Kharge tells PM Modi not to cry like a baby

Kalaburagi: A day after a BJP legislator mocked Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge as geriatric and said that the latter's days are numbered, the Congress leader equated Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a crying baby, who likes to cry from dawn to dusk. ''It has become a habit for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cry from morning to evening, like a crying baby," Kharge said.

Speaking from his residence here on Wednesday, Kharge said the Prime Minister has forgotten actual names of the Congress leaders and used monikers instead. "Modi counted that Congress leaders have insulted him personally 91 times. The saffron party leader used to refer former UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi as widow and Italian girl. They called Rahul Gandhi as a hybrid," Kharge added.

Don't sit and cry-Although they (BJP party) were using such words against our party's high command, none of us sat crying like Modi does now. We know this is war. If you sit and cry, you will not get the job done," Kharge said. "Modi repeatedly says that because he is a backward class person, Congress leaders are making unnecessary criticisms against him. But, Modi should remember one thing. I am a Dalit. I'm much below Modi in the social ladder. In fact, I'm the last one in the bottom. They will have to come towards you (Modi) after stepping on my head first," Kharge said rubbishing the claim.

All promises will be fulfilled-Talking about the Congress party's election manifesto, Kharge said, "If the Congress government is formed, all the promises will be fulfilled in the first cabinet meeting itself." Responding to PM Modi's charge that the congress manifesto has no warrant or guarantee, "the opposition parties naturally criticise it. We have fulfilled most of the promises made in our election manifesto earlier," Kharge said.

Bajrang Dal ban- "The Chairman of the Manifesto Committee has already clarified the question regarding banning the Bajrang Dal organisation in the Congress manifesto. Some people eat non-veg at night and go around scolding non-veg eaters during the day time. The gimmick of getting votes by inducing fights among among people is not right," Kharge said.

On mobilising funds for election promises-Asked on how the Congress will pump funds from to implement the promises made in its election manifesto, Kharge maintained that there is an order followed in setting up the government. First, our government should come to power. How can you answer without giving the question paper to us? After coming to power, we will fulfill the promises made in our manifesto, he said.
