Providing timely treatment can ensure 65 per cent of cases are cured.
The stats behind Paralysis attacks
Overall national statistics show that 119-145 paralysis attacks are found per one lakh people. 12,000 to 15,000 cases are found per year per one crore people. The number of paralysis cases are higher in rural areas means the number of cases hover around 164-205 for every one lakh people.
