Sri Ram Sene chief cries foul over religious conversions

Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik cried foul over religious conversions and asserted that strict laws should be enforced to put an end to it, or else he predicted that the future of the country will be at stake. He was speaking to reporters at Gangavathi in Koppal district of Karnataka on Sunday.

Koppal: Expressing his concern over religious conversions, Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik said, "The religious conversions have become a cause for concern and without bringing a strict law one cannot control it."

The Ram Sene chief was speaking to reporters at Gangavathi in Koppal district of Karnataka on Sunday. "Our survey revealed that nearly one-and-a-half lakh Lingayatas have been converted in Davanagere district alone while over 50,000 Lingayat Gowdas in Kolar."

"There is a systematic approach in the country regarding conversions and strict law enforcement is the need of the hour to prevent this. Mainly Christian conversions should be prevented otherwise the future of the country will be at stake."
