Woman kills her 3 children, hangs self in Karnataka

A mother allegedly killed her three children and later committed suicide. Police sources said that the deceased woman Yallamma's husband was an alcoholic and used to harass her frequently.

Koppal (Karnataka): A mother allegedly drowned her three children and hung herself at her house in Hanchinala village of Kokkanur taluk here.

The deceased were identified as Yallamma, and her children Akshata, Nagaraju and Kavya.

Yallamma allegedly drowned her daughter Akshata into a big container, her son Nagaraju into a bucket and Kavya into the water tank and later, hung herself in the house.

A case has been filed in Kokkanur police station. Police sources said that Yallamma's husband was an alcoholic and there used to be regular quarrels between the couple.

She was allegedly in depression over the same. The exact reason behind the act is yet to be confirmed. A probe is on in the matter.
