Mangaluru: More than 200 students from Kerala who came for studies in Mangaluru have been diagnosed positive for coronavirus in the Dakshina Kannada district till now.
The swab samples of these students are sent to Nimhans Hospital, Bangalore, as a precautionary measure to confirm whether it is a mutant form of COVID19.
It could be noted that some people who have recently arrived in India from England have had this mutated variant of COVID19. Some of them arrived in Kerala from Britain were also diagnosed with the mutant coronavirus virus.
So as the precautionary measure, the test samples of students who have come to Managaluru form Kerala and infected with corona are being sent to Nimhans, Bangalore, according to officials.
