Karnataka: Mentally ill man chained in house for 10 yrs

Vithal Bhalagannavara has been confined to his home owing to his mental illness for the past 10 years. He lives in a dark room with no clothes and receives no treatment as well.

Belgaum: A mentally ill person has been chained for the past 10 years at his village house at Hannikeri village in Bailhongal taluk of Belgaum district.

Vithal Bhalagannavara has been confined to a dilapidated room by his family members after he started pelting stones at people without reason and started attacking them without provocation.

He lives in a dark room with no clothes for the past 10 years and receives no treatment.

Bheemava, mother of Vithal Bhalagannavara is in deep distress over the condition of her son.

Ten years ago Vithla worked in a hotel in Belgaum, however, after returning home his health starting deteriorating and he became mentally ill.
