Curfew has been relaxed by the district administration. However, Section 144 of the CrPC, that prohibits an assembly of more than four people in an area, continues to remain in force.

The protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Mangaluru and the curfew imposed post the same had brought life to a standstill and affected the business adversely.
