Mangaluru airport gets bomb threat phone call; one arrested

Police in Mangalore has arrested a man in connection with a fake bomb threat call. The man has been arrested and is under intense investigation.

Mangalore:A man has been arrested by police in connection with a fake phone call that a bomb has been placed at the Mangalore International Airport.

A youth from Karkala taluk in Udupi district has been detained and is under intense investigation. Bajpe police have registered a case in connection with the alleged bombing at Mangalore airport. Bajpe police are conducting an intense inquiry into the man who was detained.

The man sent the same message twice to the phone of Mangalore airport's Former director. CISF personnel then conducted a thorough inspection of the airport and confirmed that it was a fake alert.
