Man throws acid on wife and aunt in Karnataka

Two women from Karnataka became the victim of an acid attack after a man threw some inflammable substance on them. A search is underway to nab the absconding accused.

Mangalore (Karnataka):A man allegedly threw acid on his wife and aunt at his residence in Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district on Thursday. The two women got severely injured and were rushed to a local hospital.

The incident took place at Konalu in Kadaba Taluk when Byju attacked the two women with acid.

The victims received first aid at Nelyadi Hospital and were later shifted to Mangalore Hospital for further treatment.

A case has been registered at Uppinangadi police station.

The reason behind the incident is yet to be known and a hunt is on to nab the absconding accused.
