Man hacked to death in broad daylight in Bengaluru

A man was hacked to death in broad daylight near Phoenix mall in Bengaluru. The incident took place at around 1:30 pm on Saturday. The attackers hacked Manjunath's head, splitting it into two with machetes killing him on the spot.

Bengaluru (Karnataka):A 28-year-old man was hacked to death by three assailants in broad daylight near Bengaluru's Phoenix Mall on Saturday.

The incident took place at around 1:30 pm when the deceased, Manjunath, was riding his bike and was waylaid by three people who attacked him with machetes.

The attackers hacked Manjunath's head, splitting it into two causing his immediate death, and fled from the scene.

The gruesome incident was caught on CCTV cameras.

The police said that Manjunath was an accused in an attempt to murder case and an extortion case.

Police officials are yet to identify the three attackers and investigation into the case is underway.
