Belagavi (Karnataka): A man allegedly fired in the air at a public place in Belagavi district of Karnataka.
The incident reportedly took place in the presence of the police at the APMC station during the Guru Nanak Jayanti procession.
A two-day parade was held in the city by the people as part of the Guru Nanak Jayanti.
The parade, which was accompanied by horse-drawn carriages, was welcomed near the Chennamma Circle and a man fired in the air as he greeted the horse on the parade.
The horse, fearing the sound of gunfire, also retreated. The women and children who took part in the parade seemed visibly terrified.
As per the sources, even after two days of the incident, police are yet to register an FIR against the person.
