Dharwad (Karnataka): At a time when urbanisation is on the rise and people are coming up with more-and-more ideas to build space-efficient buildings, locals in Karnataka's Dharwad built a lake on a large piece of land that was vacant for years.
Most of these people were sitting idle amid the COVID-19-induced lockdown and so people from four areas of the city including Basaveshwara Badavane, Shakambari area, Gurudeva and Nandini collaborated together to construct a lake on a 1.5-acre plot of government-owned land in their city.
