K'taka: Four drown after SUV falls into a lake

Four drowned after a speeding SUV fell into a lake in Devamachonahalli village near Tavarakere taluk in Bengaluru South on Monday morning. All four in the car drowned as they couldn't escape owing to the depth of the lake.

Nelamangala:Four people drowned after an SUV from Bengaluru enroute Huliyoorudurga fell into a lake after losing control of its speed in the wee hours of Monday.

The incident took place in Devamachonahalli village near Tavarakere taluk in Bengaluru South.

The victims, identified as Santhosh, Sunil, Manjunath, and Raghavendra, died on spot.

All four in the car drowned as they couldn't escape, owing to the depth of the lake.

Tavarekere Police reached the spot and sent the corpses to Nelamangala and Rajeshwari hospital.

A case has also been registered at the Tavarakere police station.
