Bantwal: Lack of internet connectivity in Chandthimar and Manihalla villages of Karnataka's Bantwal is hampering the studies of students residing in the area. Students are forced to walk to the banks of river Netravati daily to get internet access so that they can attend online classes. Poor internet connectivity is also hampering the examinations and assignment submissions by students.
Children at the river bank spend hours holding mobile phones in the hope of getting a better network. Students, residing in nearly 250 houses in this area, also try to trace internet network coverage by climbing to the terraces, mountains and even trees.
Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik recently held a meeting with the stakeholders and said soon internet connectivity issues in the area will be resolved.
