Hubli:An inhumane incident took place in Karnataka's Hubli, where a husband along with his mother gave poisoned milk to her pregnant wife, police said.
According to the police, after drinking milk Shahina felt abdominal pain, hence she was immediately hospitalized.
Unfortunately, the foetus died in the womb and has been sent for test, police informed.
Shahina got married to the accused, Imam Khanajaade, around one year ago, he added.
In a statement given to police, Shahina said, Imam and his mother-in-law Fatima Khanajaade used to torture her due to which she went to her home.
Later, both the sides of the family compromised and Shahina went back to her husband's home after which the incident took place, police said.
A case has been registered against the mother and the son.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
