Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a 37-km-long roadshow in two phases in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru on May 6 as part of the state assembly election campaign. The event will be held in 23 constituencies and preparations have been made for this, said Bangalore Central Lok Sabha Constituency MP, PC Mohan.
Speaking to reporters at the state BJP's media centre on Wednesday, Mohan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a rally in the name of 'Karnataka Sankalpa' on Saturday, May 6. The rally has been preponed which was scheduled for Monday to Saturday to avoid inconvenience to the public. Police and administrative officials have been informed in advance regarding the rally. A total of 37 km-long rally route has been earmarked. "Our rally will be different from Bharat Jodo. We are expecting 10 lakh people to attend the rally," Mohan added.
The Prime Minister will arrive at HAL and from there he will start the rally from CV Raman Nagar to War Memorial off Brigade Road. Later, PM Modi's roadshow will reach Malleshwara from Bengaluru South Assembly Constituencies after traversing through various constituencies. Around 10.1 km-long-rally will be held in the morning and 26.5 km-long rally in the evening, said the Bangalore Central MP.
