Karnataka man murders parents with iron rod during argument

A 26-year-old man allegedly attacked his parents with an iron rod after an argument broke out between them. While the accused's mother died on the spot, his father died on the way to the hospital.

Koppal (Karnataka): In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly murdered his parents with an iron rod in Karnataka Koppal district on Tuesday.

According to reports, the incident took place in the ninth ward of Kanakagiri town in the district, when 26-year-old Ramesh Madiwalar had an argument with his parents over the issue of bringing his wife back home.

It was during the course of the argument that Ramesh attacked his parents with an iron rod.

While the accused's mother Akkamma (46) died on the spot, his father Giriappa (56) succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Upon receiving information, the local police arrived at the spot and took the accused into custody.
