Bengaluru:Reeling under the impact of the second wave of COVID-19, the Karnataka government has decided to impose a complete lockdown in the state from May 10 to May 24.

So, a complete lockdown will be imposed from 10th May 6 am to 24th May 6 am. All hotels, pubs, and bars will remain closed. Eateries, meat shops & vegetable shops can operate from 6-10 am," the Karnataka CM announced.

He said that not even a single person will be allowed outside after 10 am during the lockdown.

A copy of the order issued by the Karnataka government The state's active caseload breached five lakh with 49,058 fresh COVID-19 infections on Thursday, while the toll stood at 17,212 with 328 deaths, the health department said.

According to the department bulletin, the infection count is now 17,90,104 whereas there are 5,17,075 active cases in the state.
