Bengaluru:Revealing the rift within Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party contrary to state in-charge Arun Singh's 'all is well' stance, Member of Legislative Council H.Vishwanath slammed Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa for the latter's family's intervention in politics. While addressing a press conference in Bengaluru, Vishwanath said "Family politics is deadly to democracy, family corruption, family politics should be stopped. The BJP needs to be ready for the next election."
"Those over the age of 75 cannot govern. Yediyurappa suffers from age-related health problems. Yediyurappa does not have the strength he had earlier. The BJP needs to prepare for the election right away," he added. "They are not saying it openly. Yesterday more than 80% who met Arun Singh said that leadership must be changed otherwise the party will not survive. We will not come back to power again which may include many leaders, even ministers," he said.
