Karnataka bandh: What will operate and what won't

To protest against the State Government's decision on establishing Maratha Development corporation in the state, pro-Kannada activists have called for a Karnataka bandh across the state on December 5th.

Bengaluru (Karnataka): Pro Kannada activists have called for Karnataka Bandh tomorrow 5th December against State Government decision on establishing Maratha Development corporation in the state. In view of the strike, Karnataka Police have decided to beef up police forces across the state to prevent unlawful incidents.

What services are available tomorrow:
1. Hospital services
2. Medical stores
3. Essential stores
4. Government bus service in cities
5. Interstate bus services with a reduction of busses
6. Metro services
7. Railways
8. Fuel stations
9. Hotels
10. Shops and Malls

What won't be available:
1. Garment factories
2. Auto and taxi service ( few organizations have confirmed that there shall be moral support only and will run as usual)

However, leaders like Vatal Nagaraj and other pro-Kannada activists have told that activists shall stop vehicles and urge shops and establishments to close. To prevent any unlawful incidents Bengaluru City Commissioner Kamal Panth has informed DCPs and other police officers to protect citizens.
