New Delhi: Karnataka is facing a major political crisis after 16 MLAs from the ruling Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) resigned, reducing the 13-month-old government to a minority in the 225-member state Assembly.
Some of the rebel MLAs are camping at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Congress leader DK Shivakumar, who arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday to talk to the rebel MLAs at the hotel was not allowed to meet the lawmakers and was denied entry into the hotel by the state police.
The minister accused the BJP in the matter.
