Indian couple stabbed in Munich, husband dies

An Indian couple was attacked by an unknown person resulting in the death of the husband and injuring wife in Munich, Germany. It is suspected that the accused was a mentally ill person.

Udupi:In a shocking incident, a miscreant stabbed an Indian couple with a knife killing the husband and severely injuring the wife near Munich city of Germany on Sunday.

The couple who has been identified as Prashant andSmita Basarur was resident of Siddapura, Kundapura.

Following this, Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj had paid condolence to Prashanth through her tweet.

She informed that arrangements have been made to send Prashanth's younger brother to Germany.

The couple was survived by two children, a girl and a boy.

Reportedly, the couple was resident of Munich from last 15 years.

It is suspected that a mentally ill person has attacked the couple.
