IISc professor selected for prestigious Joel Henry Hildebrand Award

Biman Bagchi, an honorary professor from IISc, Bengaluru, has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Joel Henry Hildebrand Award in the Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry of Liquids.

Bengaluru (Karnataka): An honorary professor at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, has been selected for the prestigious Joel Henry Hildebrand Award.

Professor Biman Bagchi has been selected as the 2021 recipient of the Joel Henry Hildebrand Award in the Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry of Liquids. He received a confirmation email from Felicia Foxworth Dixon, the Senior Manager at the American Chemical Society, Washington DC.

The award will be presented to him at the society's spring 2021 National Meeting and Expo in San Antonio, Texas on March 23, 2021.

According to reports, the award is prestigious in the area of liquids and gasses, and it is after a long time that an Indian has won the award.

Professor G Rangarajan, Director, IISc congratulated Professor Biman Bagchi for being selected for the prestigious award.
