Five killed in bus-car collision in Karnataka

Five people were killed and seven others were injured in a road accident near BG Kere in Chitradurga district last night.

Chitradurga (Karnataka): Five persons were killed and seven others were injured in a head-on collision between a car and bus near BG Kere village in Molokalmooru taluk in Karnataka in the wee hours of Sunday.

All the five died at the scene of the accident. The bus was travelling from Bangalore to Lingasugur.

Those killed were identified as Timmanna (40), Ratnamma (38), Mahesh (19), Durgappa (16) and a 55-year old man.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, police registered a case and a probe is underway.
