Elephants moved back to camps after successful Dasara parade

The Gajapade (elephant troupe) which participated in the Mysuru Palace Dasara celebrations, were moved back to their respective camps on Wednesday. The elephants were offered fruits and flowers as part of tradition before being moved to their respective camps by truck.

Mysuru (Karnataka): After finishing the Dasara parade successfully in Mysore Palace, the Gajapade (Elephant Troup) Led by Captain Abhimanyu, have been moved back to their respective camps on Wednesday.

Howdah elephant Abhimanyu and his team members, Gopi, Vikram, Kaveri and Vijaya, who participated in the Jamboo Savari at Mysore Palace yesterday and successfully fulfilled the responsibility given to them, were seen in a relaxed mood at the Palace and later moved to their camps by truck.

The Captain elephant Abhimanyu moved to Mathigodu Elephant Camp while Vikrama, Gopi, Kaveri, Vijaya have been moved to Dubare Elephant camp. These Elephants arrived at the palace on October 2nd for the festival of Dasara and successfully accomplished their tasks.

The palace officials and the Forest Department officers offered Puja For all the elephants as part of a tradition and sent the elephants to their camps by offering fruits and flowers to the elephants.
