Davanagere:Glass House of Davanagere is now turning as the centre of attraction. It is being the largest glasshouse in the country attracting tourists towards it. It is specially visited by people from abroad.

This glass house is nearer to the national highway. So people are taking a break and visiting here. Tourists from Koppal, Hubli-Dharwad, Haveri, Davangere, Belagavi and Shimoga are coming here. Non-resident Indians living mainly in Thailand and Ireland also visit this glass house. The landscape(area) and now surpasses the glass house in Lal Bagh, Bangalore and the glasshouse in Hubli.

Special features of glass house

This houses the Horticultural Information Center, Arrangements are set up to track sunset and sunrise. A beautiful garden has been built, and the entire garden has been decorated with foreign plants and trees. Built at a cost of Rs 30 crore, it is 108 meters long, 68 meters wide and 18 meters high. Its constructional work started in 2014-15 and will be opened for tourists in the year 2018-19.

Visitor Rates: The fair for visiting the Glass House is Rs 10 for children and Rs 20 for adults. This place is perfect for shooting pre-wedding shoot, movies and songs. The whole house shines at night with coloured lights.

"I stay in Ireland. I have come here to attend my friend's marriage. My friends suggested this place and I have come to visit the place. The interior and garden around are all beautiful. It is very peaceful inside. It seems like the best place for meditation. It is maintained well", said Amogh, a tourist come to visit the house.

"I am from Koppal. We always thought of visiting this beautiful place. It seems like heaven when entered inside. The environment and garden around are beautiful and well maintained. This glasshouse construction is mindblowing one cannot reach the imagination of the creator", a tourist came here from Karanataka to visit this place.
