Cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy's mother dies of Covid-19

Mother of cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy has died due to Covid-19. Krishnamurthy's mother died at a private hospital at Kaduru on Saturday morning. She was hospitalized four days ago.

Chikmagalur (Karnataka):Woman cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy's mother Cheluvamba (63) passed away due to Covid-19 at Kaduru taluk in Chikkkamagaluru district.

Cheluwamba died at a private hospital at Kadru on Saturday morning.

She was hospitalized four days ago. Indian cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy hails from Kaduru, a small town in Karnataka's Chikkamagaluru district.

Karnataka has a total of 1,274,959 cases of Covid-19 with 26,962 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. Karnataka has reported 14,075 deaths.

India reported 3,46,786 new COVID-19 cases and 2,624 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry. According to the Ministry, 2,19,838 discharges were reported in the last 24 hours.
