Bengaluru (Karnataka): Minister Prabhu Chouhan has said that Karnataka Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act will be implemented in the state from January 18th onwards.
The Act will be fully implemented in the state and the process of formulating the rules is almost complete and will be released soon. Regulations for the transportation of cattle will soon be formulated and enforced. The minister appealed to the farmers through a press release that the farmers in the state and those who transport cattle for agricultural purposes should not be confused for any reason.
The Police Department has been asked to work hand in hand with the NGO and Animal Welfare Board, which is involved in the protection of the cows, and to take action at all levels. The minister also said that the police department and the animal husbandry department should be closely monitoring illegal trafficking of cows and slaughter.
