COVID-19: Medical staff in Bengaluru place dead body, patients together

In a shocking display of negligence by the hospital staff, a dead body of a COVID-19 patient was placed next to a COVID-19 infected 73-year-old woman, a resident of Sankaramath ward. The lady is undergoing coronavirus treatment at ESI Hospital in Rajajinagar.

This incident has raised serious concerns among the families of COVID-19 patients admitted for treatment at the hospital. They are of the opinion that dead bodies will adversely affect the mental health of patients.

Meanwhile, former municipal corporator M. Shivaraju visited the hospital's COVID ward and listened to the grievances of the elderly and other infected patients. Regarding the incident, Sivaraju urged the authorities concerned to take action against the hospital staff.
