Bengaluru: The police filed a case against former Karnataka minister Ramesh Jarkiholi after the woman in the purported 'sex tape' filed a case against him. The woman's lawyer lodged a complaint at the city police commissioner's office this afternoon.
Cubbon Park police have lodged an FIR against Jarakiholi over the complaint. The police have registered a case under IPC Section 506 (threatening life), 354 (A) (Physical contact by saying providing work), 376 C and 504, 417 under Rape Case and 67(A) under the IT act.
Woman makes damning allegations against Jarkiholi
In her complaint to the police, she made serious allegations against the former BJP minister. The woman said she met the minister in connection with the production of a short film. "I was in Bengaluru in search of a job. I met Ramesh Jarakiholi before regarding making a short film," she said in the complaint.
According to the complaint, the former minister took her cell phone number. "...told me he would call. Then he made a call and inquired about me and my family and started talking to me," the complaint read.
The woman further said Jarkiholi asked her to "cooperate in all forms" and "he would give a government job using his influence."
"I believed he will give me a job," she said.

She further alleged that Jarkiholi contacted her over a video call and asked her to "take-off" her clothes among other innuendoes.
"I did exactly what he said," she claimed in the complaint.
The woman in question also added that the BJP leader invited her to visit his residence in Bengaluru to "talk about work".
